About Us

Disability Resource Initiative, Inc., was established as BEST Center for Independent Living in 1995 to provide needed services to persons with any type of disability in South Central Kentucky. Our staff members have a unique perspective of disability issues because we each experience a disability in our lives.

Disability Resource Initiative, Inc., is incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and depends on members of our community to help support our efforts. Donations to the Initiative, as well as time spent volunteering, may be used as matching funds for grants to continue our work or for special projects funded solely by contributions.
